Bavaria: Pedestrian hit by car and seriously injured

Fürth (dpa / lby) - In Middle Franconia, a pedestrian was hit by a car and seriously injured. The accident happened when the 54-year-old woman was about to cross a street in Fürth, the police said on Thursday. She was thrown against the windshield of the car. It has not yet been clarified why the passer-by was hit by the 33-year-old driver on Wednesday afternoon. The injured were taken to the hospital after the collision. The police have started investigations to determine the cause of the accident. According to a spokesman, negligent bodily harm is to be assumed.
