Bavaria: police attacked: five officers injured

Alzenau (dpa / lby) - Five police officers were injured in Alzenau, Lower Franconia, when the emergency services wanted to arrest a group of men. The police officers were initially insulted from the group on Sunday night. The men later tried to resist police measures, the police said on Monday. In the end, six men were provisionally arrested. One of them spent the whole night in police custody.

The starting point was that police officers had identified the personal details of a man who had given the Hitler salute on the way home from a wine festival. From a passing group, there were then insults against the police officers. One of those involved punched a police officer in the face. Two of the five injured officers should have stopped working and had to be treated in hospital.
