Pastetten (dpa / lby) - When checking a vehicle combination on the Autobahn 94 in the Erding district, the police found around eight kilograms of gold. The current value amounts to more than 445,000 euros, as the police announced on Wednesday. Officials found the gold on Monday evening in a new car that was being transported on a trailer near Pastetten.
The occupants of the van, aged between 22 and 64, could not have explained the origin of the gold and 25,000 euros in cash to the veil investigators in a plausible way, it said. The police are now investigating on suspicion of money laundering.
