Bavaria: rear-end collision with three trucks: driver seriously injured

Goldbach (dpa / lby) - On the Autobahn 3 in the direction of Würzburg, a driver was seriously injured as a result of an accident involving several trucks. A total of three trucks drove into each other on Wednesday afternoon between the Goldbach and Hösbach junctions, as the fire brigade announced. A semitrailer was pushed together by the other two. According to the information, the vehicle cabin was torn off and severely deformed by the force of the impact. The driver was trapped and had to be freed by the fire department. The A3 was closed for hours during the rescue and recovery work.
