Würzburg (dpa / lby) - Ten children and several employees have been evacuated because of a fire in a social facility for child and youth welfare in Würzburg. A local resident noticed the fire when a girl called for help and called the fire brigade, the police said on Monday. The children were brought to safety in time on Monday night.
When firefighters arrived, flames were shooting out of the third floor windows. The fire brigade was able to bring the fire under control and prevent it from spreading to other parts of the building. Five children and a firefighter suffered minor injuries from the smoke. Paramedics treated her at the scene. The children were then taken to various facilities in the city.
