Munich (dpa / lby) - TSV 1860 Munich receives the highest sum from the youth promotion pot 3rd division of the German Football Association (DFB). As the association announced on Tuesday, the "lions" will receive around 448,000 euros. A total of 18 clubs will receive appropriate grants for the 2021/2022 third division season. With around 370,000 euros, the second-highest amount was paid out to Würzburger Kickers.
When calculating the distributions, two criteria are taken into account: the existence of a performance center or a performance center being set up and the playing times of players in the 3rd league with German nationality under the age of 21.
For legal reasons, the grants may only flow into the non-profit area of the associations, the use of funds is earmarked for the promotion of young people. This must be proven by the clubs accordingly.
