Heilsbronn (dpa / lby) - A woman was seriously injured in a kitchen fire in Heilsbronn (Ansbach district). The 63-year-old first called a neighbor for help on Saturday evening when there was a fire in her kitchen. He called the fire brigade and then tried to put out the fire himself - but in vain. The rescue workers were able to quickly extinguish the fire, but the kitchen burned out completely, as the police announced on Sunday night. The woman suffered burns and smoke inhalation and was taken to the hospital.
The apartments in the apartment building were so badly affected by the fire and the extinguishing work that all residents had to stay with friends for the night. The cause of the fire was still unclear, but the police assumed that the 63-year-old caused the fire herself through negligent behavior.
