Baden-Württemberg: A detached tire causes an accident with two injuries

Heidelberg (dpa / lsw) - A detached tire caused an accident in Heidelberg in which two people were injured. A 24-year-old man was driving in the south of the city on Saturday evening when suddenly, for reasons that are still unclear, a rear tire of his car came loose and rolled into oncoming traffic. An oncoming car collided with the tyre, a car following behind could no longer brake and drove into the rear of this car. The driver was not injured, but the two 22-year-old passengers in the car that hit the car suffered minor injuries. The damage to the vehicles involved was estimated by the police at around 21,500 euros.
