Plettenberg (dpa/lnw) - A firefighter from Plettenberg (Märkischer Kreis) has proved he has the right instincts: The man who was on his way to work accidentally heard a beeping home smoke detector in an apartment and informed his colleagues, like the fire department on Saturday announced. After their arrival, the emergency services noticed the smell of burnt food in addition to the beeping.
After the firefighters had gained access to the attic apartment through the window, they encountered a man who was difficult to wake up. He was taken outside - as was a burned Bolognese dish. Because a lot of smoke had developed in the apartment, the emergency services extracted the smoke from the apartment with a high-performance fan.
