Munich / Nyon (dpa / lby) - FC Bayern is looking forward to a hammer duel in the round of 16 against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League. "We can look forward to two great games with the best players in Europe," said CEO Oliver Kahn on Sky on Monday. The first legs of the round of 16 will take place on February 14, 15, 21 and 22. The second leg is scheduled for March. The final will be held in Istanbul on June 10, 2023.
After winning the duel against Paris in the 2020 final, Bayern lost to PSG in the quarter-finals a year later. "I think these will be two highly attractive games," said Kahn, referring to top stars like Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappé. First in Paris, then in Munich.
"A top game, a top opponent - I think one of the best teams in Europe and the world with absolute world stars," said sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic. "I'm looking forward to the games. It's just a draw that's a treat for every football fan," said Salihamidzic.
