Bayern: Jahn Regensburg remains a relegation candidate: 0-1 in Karlsruhe

Karlsruhe (dpa / lby) - SSV Jahn Regensburg is still deep in the relegation battle of the 2nd Bundesliga. The Oberpfälzer team, without a win since October, lost 1-0 (0-1) at Karlsruher SC on Friday and remain second to last in the table. Mikkel Kaufmann scored the winning goal for the home side (24th minute). If Sandhausen wins this Saturday in Nuremberg, Jahn will even slip to the end of the tableau.

After a sleepy initial phase, Regensburg fought back into the game. But the famous bit of luck was missing: the Karlsruhe goalkeeper deflected the header from Andreas Albers (19th) to the post, the flick of Sarpreet Singh (37th) only smacked the crossbar. The hosts, on the other hand, used their only big chance in the first half.

After the change of sides, things got hotter. The Regensburgers pushed for the compensation. This created space for KSC, but none of the counterattacks were consistently played to the end by the offensive players. But even Jahn, who suffered his twelfth defeat of the season, failed to score despite a few opportunities. Again Singh (90th) only circled the ball to the aluminum.
