Consumer prices: Inflation rate falls slightly again

The fuel discount and 9-euro monthly ticket have dampened the rise in prices in Germany - the rate of inflation has also fallen further in Rhineland-Palatinate. In July, consumer prices rose by 7.0 percent compared to the same month last year, after 7.1 percent in June and 7.6 percent in May, as the State Statistical Office in Bad Ems announced on Thursday. Above all, price jumps in energy as a result of the Ukraine war and rising food prices are fueling inflation in Germany.
