Mary Mara has appeared in countless film and television productions since the late 1980s. Among other things, she has made guest appearances in series such as "Emergency Room", "Ray Donovan" and "Star Trek". Now her body is recovered from a river. Apparently she died while bathing.

US actress Mary Mara, known for her roles in the series "Emergency Room" and "Ray Donovan", is dead. This is reported by the US broadcaster CNN, citing her manager Craig Dorfman. Mara was 61 years old.

"Mary was one of the best actresses I've ever met," Dorfman said. "I still remember seeing her on stage in 'Mad Forest' on Broadway in 1992. She was electric, funny and a real personality. Everyone loved her. We will miss her."

According to a statement from the New York State Police, police officers responded to an emergency call on Sunday morning. A "deceased woman" was discovered by the emergency services in the St. Lawrence River. "Preliminary investigations indicate that the victim drowned while swimming," police said. There are no signs of third-party debt. An autopsy should now clarify the exact cause of death.
