Events Arrested for stabbing to death a woman with whom he lived in a 'squatter' house in Pontevedra

The Pontevedra National Police maintains an investigation open to investigate a crime that occurred at dawn in this municipality. A man was arrested as the alleged perpetrator of the death of a 33-year-old woman in a squatted house, and whom he allegedly killed with a knife.

The events occurred around 5 in the morning from this Sunday to this Monday on Cunchidos de Estribela street, on the border between the municipalities of Pontevedra and Marín. A neighbor who was passing through the area called 112, the Local Police went to the place and found the lifeless body of the woman and the alleged murderer in the house, with all the bloody clothes.

The Marín Local Police detained him and then the National Police took charge of the facts, which from early in the morning inspected the house with both Judicial Police and Scientific Police agents.

All the hypotheses are open, but, in principle, it has been ruled out that it is a case of gender violence. The alleged murderer and the victim did not have and had not had a sentimental relationship. The victim lived in the squatter house with two other men and the murderer went there from time to time.

In the absence of completing the police work, all the hypotheses suggest that it could be related to a drug issue.

A young man who lives with his grandmother in the next house told his mother that around five in the morning "he heard someone asking for help", but "he did not care because parties are always held here". In this regard, other neighbors told this newspaper that in this house there were "continuous problems" among the residents, but "not with the neighbors", the neighborly relationship was good.

According to this young man who heard "asking for help", when he left home to work "he saw 14 policemen and the man totally bloody and handcuffed". After being arrested, he was transferred to the cells of the National Police.

According to the residents of the area, this house, number 31 Cunchidos street, is abandoned and has been squatted for years. Its residents are supposedly drug addicts and in the past the National Police had to go to this house for another incident with a knife.
