The Civil Guard of Villablino (León) has identified the owner of a mastiff dog, about seven months old, who was buried alive in a landfill in the Babia region of Leon at the end of March.

As a consequence of this fact, the patrol of the Nature Protection Service (SEPRONA) of the Villablino Civil Guard began a series of efforts to clarify what happened after finding the animal buried in the clean point of the town of Piedrafita de Babia , in the municipality of Cabrillanes (León).

As a result of the inquiries carried out by the agents, an investigation has been opened into the owner of the animal, a farmer in the area, as the alleged perpetrator of two crimes of abandonment and mistreatment of domestic animals.
