It's over, it's over: Jerry Hall and Rupert Murdoch are officially divorced. It was only made public in early July that the former model had filed for divorce from the media mogul after six years of marriage.
The "Daily Mail" now reports, citing a statement by Murdoch's lawyer, that the divorce process has already been "completed". The two wanted to remain "good friends" and wished each other "the best for the future," it said.
Just a few hours earlier, the newspaper, citing another document, reported that Hall had asked a judge to withdraw the divorce application. However, the alleged motives of the 66-year-olds for this step were not explained. With the current report that the divorce has already been completed, the matter should be off the table anyway.
Murdoch, now 91, and Hall went public with their relationship in October 2015. They married in London in March 2016.
The media mogul has previously been married three times: from 1956 to 1967, he entered into his first marriage to Patricia Booker, who has a daughter, Prudence. Murdoch's second wife was writer Anna Murdoch Mann. The US publisher has three children with her, Elisabeth, Lachlan and James. The media mogul was eventually married to entrepreneur Wendi Deng from 1999 to 2013. The couple have two more children, Grace and Chloe. The dissolution of Hall's marriage is Murdoch's fourth divorce.
Jerry Hall was not officially married before marrying Rupert Murdoch. However, the actress had a long-term relationship with Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, the two had been together for 22 years.
Hall and Jagger tied the knot in a Hindu ceremony in Bali in 1990. However, this was not legally binding. The model has four children with the musician, Gabriel, Georgia, James and Elizabeth.
