Ex-school official accused of email hack reportedly faces trial

OCEAN CITY -- A former Ocean City High School vice principal has opted to go to trial on charges she hacked the email of the district superintendent, according to a report on PressofAtlanticCity.com.

The trial for Christine Lentz is scheduled to begin Sept. 11 and is expected to last three weeks. A grand jury indicted Lentz on misconduct, computer criminal activity and theft charges in February 2016.

Lentz, who worked at the school for 30 years and also served as the athletic director, is accused of accessing Superintendent's Kathleen Taylor's emails between April and June 2015.

Lentz resigned from the school in July 2015.
