'Get a second opinion': Sharon Stone diagnosed with cancer

After a misdiagnosis and incorrect treatments, a tumor is discovered in Hollywood star Sharon Stone. Luckily he's benign. Nevertheless, the actor has to be operated on. It's not the first health issue Stone has struggled with.

A tumor was discovered in actress Sharon Stone after a previous misdiagnosis. She is now calling on women in particular to always get a second medical opinion.

Among other things, Stone announced on Twitter that she had recently been misdiagnosed and treated incorrectly. However, after her pain got worse, she got a second opinion. A large, benign tumor was diagnosed in her uterus. The 64-year-old needs surgery and will need about four to six weeks to fully recover.

Because of this experience, Stone urges her followers - and especially women - not to be turned away. "Get a second opinion. It can save your life," she writes. The actress also pointed this out to her around 3.4 million followers in her Instagram Stories.

The 64-year-old has already had to suffer some health setbacks. As Sharon Stone recently revealed in her autobiography The Beauty of Living Twice, she has had nine miscarriages. She also survived being struck by lightning as a teenager and fought back in 2001 after a massive stroke that left her bleeding in the brain.

Last year, the “Basic Instinct” star shared another heavy blow with his fans. Sharon Stone's nephew and godchild was found lifeless in his cot. River fought for his life in the hospital for days, finally dying at the age of only eleven months after "total organ failure".
