Hesse: Consumer protection and financial education included in curriculum

Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) - With the votes of the black-green government factions, an amendment to the Hessian school law was passed in the state parliament. The reformed text regulates, among other things, the expansion of all-day care. In order to strengthen the everyday skills of the children and young people, the topics of consumer protection and financial education were included in the curricula as special educational tasks. In addition, data protection-compliant digitization is regulated. The SPD, AfD and Left factions voted against the amendment on Tuesday in Wiesbaden, while the FDP faction abstained.
