Offenbach (dpa / lhe) - The weekend shows its cool side in terms of weather in Hesse. Locally, the Hessians have to reckon with slippery roads on Sunday. According to the forecast of the German Weather Service (DWD), sleet or snow showers are possible down to lower altitudes. The coming nights will also be frosty. Temperatures drop to as low as minus five degrees Celsius in the mountains, and are around freezing at lower altitudes. As the DWD announced on Saturday, the maximum values on Sunday reach four to seven degrees during the day when it is very cloudy, and up to two degrees in the mountains.
At the beginning of the new week there are no signs of a change in the weather. It will remain cloudy with rain or even snow showers. The maximum temperatures are between three and six degrees.
