Hesse: Eintracht soccer players get their sixth win of the season

Frankfurt/Main (dpa/lhe) - The soccer women from Eintracht Frankfurt remain unbeaten thanks to a last-minute goal in the Bundesliga. In the 1-0 (0-0) draw against Bayer 04 Leverkusen on Saturday, Lara Prasnikar scored the winning goal in the third minute of added time.

With their sixth win of the season, the Hessians were able to temporarily reduce the gap to leaders VfL Wolfsburg (21) to just one point. With 20 points now, Frankfurt can no longer be pushed out of second place in the table with the defending champions before the top game next week.

After a few initial difficulties, the hosts got into the game better and better and should have taken the lead early on through Geraldine Reuteler (8th). However, the Swiss striker's shot was cleared off the line. Later, Reuteler hesitated too long in front of the empty goal. In the second half, Frankfurt pressed vehemently on goal, but Prasnikar missed three times in just a few minutes. Shortly before the end, the Slovenian scored the winning goal with a free kick.
