Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) - Hessen wants to advance the digitization of administrative services and make it easier for citizens and companies. The e-government law passed in the Hessian state parliament in Wiesbaden on Thursday is intended, among other things, to expand communication with state authorities and municipalities through user accounts.
The reason for the amendment was the Online Access Act (OZG), according to which administrative services at federal, state and municipal level should be available online. The Hessian law creates the state legal basis for the implementation of the projects. The goals of the OZG should actually be implemented by the end of 2022. However, the federal and state governments fell far short of the goals they had set themselves for online access to administrative services.
