Hesse: man escaped from psychiatric hospital: search with helicopter

Haina/Korbach (dpa/lhe) - A 19-year-old man escaped from a psychiatric clinic in Haina (monastery) in northern Hesse. The police in Korbach said he escaped from the site into an adjacent forest on Tuesday morning. The man was in slippers and was handcuffed at the time of the escape. Now the police are looking for the 19-year-old, and a police helicopter is also in action. According to current knowledge, the fugitive does not pose a danger to others. Nevertheless, the police advised against addressing suspicious people and asked in the message not to pick up hitchhikers in the area around Haina (Waldeck-Frankenberg district).
