Hesse: Minister asks schools to participate in the minute's silence

Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) - Minister of Education Alexander Lorz (CDU) called on the schools in Hesse to participate in a minute's silence after the death trip in Berlin with a killed teacher from Bad Arolsen. The minute's silence to commemorate the victims and those affected by the rampage is to take place this Thursday (June 30) at 11 a.m., the minister announced on Monday in a letter to schools in the country.

The teacher at a secondary school in the northern Hessian city was killed in early June when a 29-year-old crashed into a crowd in the capital. More than 30 people were injured in the rampage, including many of the teacher's students who were on a class trip, and another teacher.
