Hesse: Ministry: no chamber for disputes over company acquisitions

Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) - Hesse's Ministry of Justice currently sees no need to set up a chamber at the Frankfurt Regional Court specifically for disputes relating to company takeovers and mergers. In response to a parliamentary question from the FDP parliamentary group, the Ministry in Wiesbaden announced that such a request had not been brought to the house either by the Frankfurt Regional Court or by the legal profession.

The FDP judicial expert Marion Schardt-Sauer had referred to a corresponding special chamber at the Düsseldorf Regional Court, which was set up there in early 2022. "Possibly such an initiative could be a gain in Hesse at the Frankfurt location," explained the MP. However, the Ministry of Justice pointed out, among other things, that the Frankfurt Regional Court already had a high degree of specialization in the chambers.
