Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) - The parliamentary committee of inquiry into the racially motivated murders in Hanau wants to question two police chief inspectors and a public prosecutor in Wiesbaden today. A meeting with the Attorney General is also planned for the afternoon (2 p.m.) in a non-public session.
The conversation behind closed doors is said to include a video from a police helicopter that was not sent to the committee. The members of the investigative committee also want to talk about requested files that have not yet been submitted by the Attorney General.
In fact, a 43-year-old German shot nine people for racist motives in Hanau on February 19, 2020. Then he killed his mother and himself. The investigative committee should clarify whether there was a failure of the authorities before, during and after the crime.
