Increasing number of crises: survey shows growing fears of the future among Germans

The Germans are losing confidence and composure as the number and duration of the crises increase. On the other hand, fears about the future are growing, as a study by the Opaschowski Institute for Future Research shows. In March 2019 - i.e. before the corona pandemic - and again in March this year - shortly after the start of the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine - 1,000 people were asked about their expectations for the future. The result: Confidence in the stability and security of the economy and society is visibly losing among the population.
