Manny Pacquiao lashes out at Floyd Mayweather, as the feud between old rivals escalates

Manny Pacquiao reacted to Floyd Mayweather's jibe about his financial situation.

For well over a decade, the Philippines star has been a shining light in his division.

In 2015, Mayweather and he faced off in Las Vegas. It was a fight that had taken years to prepare. The American won on points.

Mayweather is the financial king in the sport. He often takes home the biggest purses from every fight he has been involved in.

When Errol Spence Jr takes on Pacquiao, Pacquiao will be entering the ring for only the second time in two years.

Mayweather says those days are over and that he will never need to fight again because of his smart investments.

He stated that Pacquiao, at 42 years old, is sad and must fight. I am financially stable and want everyone to hear it.

"You're likely to hear many people say that Floyd needed to do this, but I'm not.

"Every property I own is paid for. My jet is paid for. All my cars are paid for. I own billion-dollar properties. I have so many property assets that I've invested steadily in many other things.

"I am invested in the tech industry, I have made many smart investments."

However, his rival raised objections to his comments but insisted that he was in the business for the right reasons.
