Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: After a stab wound, his life is no longer in danger: a search for witnesses

Rostock (dpa/mv) - The 20-year-old man, who was found in Rostock at the weekend with a life-threatening stab wound, is no longer in mortal danger. The exact circumstances of the incident from Saturday night are still unclear, a spokeswoman for the public prosecutor said on Monday of the German Press Agency. Investigations are ongoing on suspicion of attempted homicide. Witnesses found the man from the Rostock region helpless on Saturday between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. at a bus stop near a nightclub in the south of the city.

The man with life-threatening injuries was taken to a hospital and operated on. However, he could not yet be heard about what happened at night. The police are therefore still looking for witnesses who were in the club and near the bus stop at the time. For this purpose, camera recordings of the nightclub are also to be evaluated. This could clarify whether there had been an argument in the bar prior to the violent altercation.
