Rostock (dpa / mv) - In a Rostock parking garage, a pensioner demolished four other vehicles with her car because she couldn't cope with the technology. A damage of almost 13,000 euros was caused on Monday, as a police spokeswoman said on Tuesday. The 74-year-old actually wanted to reverse out of her parking space with the car with automatic transmission in the parking garage in the Lütten Klein district, but shot forward against two other cars.
After the shock, the woman from Rostock actually put the car in reverse, but accelerated too much. Her car went over a lane and struck another parked car, which in turn was pushed into a fourth vehicle. Witnesses called the police. The 74-year-old who caused the accident remained unharmed. The police are now investigating more precisely how the incident happened, including checking the driver's fitness to drive. The parking garage is part of a shopping center.
