Süderholz (dpa / mv) - The fire in a stable in Süderholz (Vorpommern-Rügen district) caused property damage of around 160,000 euros. The 40 calves housed in the hall could be saved, the police said early Tuesday. The fire ignited in the night for initially unknown reasons on the building with more than 300 hay bales.
An adjoining hall was saved from a fire. The emergency services were busy with the extinguishing work from midnight until Tuesday morning. According to the police, it cannot be ruled out that third-party fault led to the fire.
