Trollenhagen (dpa/mv) - A defective mobile phone battery caused a garage fire in Trollenhagen (Mecklenburgische Seenplatte district) with total damage estimated at 30,000 euros. The fire was reported by local residents on Saturday morning, police said. The owner tried to put out the fire himself, but was unsuccessful. The fire eventually spread to the entire garage. The fire brigade was able to extinguish the fire quickly. According to the current state of knowledge, the fire broke out due to a technical defect in the battery of a mobile phone. Nobody got hurt.
