Rostock (dpa/mv) - Second division soccer team FC Hansa Rostock lost their home game against SV Sandhausen on Friday evening (0:1), but there is a winner on the Baltic Sea coast: the Tafel in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Together with the Rostock fan scene, the association had organized fundraisers for the facilities.

The "Revolte" fan club sold an advent calendar for the benefit of the board around the game. As a thank you for their commitment, FC Hansa invited volunteers from the Mecklenburg-Western Pomeranian food bank to the game. Under the motto "We'll fill up the cog", non-perishable foods such as pasta, rice, canned food, coffee and tea, as well as hygiene and drugstore items were collected in front of the team bus.

The team wore a special jersey against Sandhausen. The shirts will be auctioned. The other jerseys from the series of 1000 pieces can be purchased in FC Hansa's online shop. Most of the proceeds go to the Rostocker Tafel. This also receives the income from the catering stands at the fan festival.
