Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: Drunk drives into an accident: polluter without a driver's license

Stralsund (dpa / mv) - On the country road 213 from Prohn to Stralsund late Wednesday evening, a driver drove into a secured accident site. A 49-year-old ignored the barriers and signs at the scene of the accident and had to be stopped by the police, the Neubrandenburg police said. She was drunk on the road, but refused to take a test, insulted the police and resisted vigorously when a blood sample was taken in the hospital.

Previously, a drunk driver without a license had come at high speed just behind Prohn into the oncoming lane and crashed into the guardrail. The 55-year-old was trapped in his car and had to be freed by the fire department. The driver was seriously injured in the accident. A breath alcohol test showed 2.86 per thousand. The car was also not registered. Criminal proceedings have now been initiated against both drivers.
