Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: Reserve is not recommended: 0: 2 against Kaiserslautern

Hansa Rostock's second row cannot be recommended. Without ten injured or suspended players, the Härtel-Elf lost 2-0 to Kaiserslautern.

Rostock (dpa / mv) - Hansa Rostock's second row has not been able to impose itself for further tasks in the 2nd Bundesliga. Without ten injured or suspended players, the Mecklenburgers conceded their fourth home defeat of the season with a 0:2 (0:1) against 1. FC Kaiserslautern on Friday evening and again delivered a weak attacking performance.

"You can't be satisfied with the result. We have to shake ourselves and continue next week in Regensburg," said Hansa coach Jens Härtel. Terrence Boyd (67th/82nd minute) scored both goals in front of 25,000 spectators in the Ostseestadion for the promoted team, who is still unbeaten abroad.

The hosts, who were weak in terms of replacements and had to do without ten suspended or injured players, started powerfully and could have taken the lead after just three minutes. The lob from left winger Nils Fröling was deflected to a corner. However, Hansa's energetic start fizzled out quickly.

The Lauterers positioned themselves better, were compact and even had the most promising opportunities of the uneventful first half. However, striker Kenny Prince Redondo (31st) failed twice in quick succession by the brilliantly reacting Rostock goalkeeper Markus Kolke.

Even after the restart, the goal-threatening excitement for the atmospheric crowd, including 1300 battle loafers from the Palatinate, remained very manageable. After a good hour Kolke had to deflect a direct shot from Lautern's right-back Erik Durm over the bar before he made a nasty mistake. The Hansa goalkeeper let a durable header from Boyd slip through his legs and into the goal.

Hansa found no answer to the unfortunate deficit even with personnel changes. The offensive efforts remained unimaginative and could not seriously embarrass the stable defense of the guests. The guests are completely different. Center forward Boyd ran away from Hansa's defender Rick van Drongelen on a counterattack and also gave Kolke no chance to defend himself with a well-placed shot into the bottom left corner.
