Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: Schwerin volleyball players aim for two finals

Schwerin (dpa/mv) - The Bundesliga volleyball players at SSC Palmberg Schwerin have set themselves the goal of reaching the finals for the German championship and the DVV Cup for the coming season. "That's our claim," said head coach Felix Koslowski on Thursday at the season-opening press conference. The new season begins for the Mecklenburg team on October 29 with the game at Schwarz-Weiss Erfurt.

"The main opponent will be defending champion Allianz MTV Stuttgart. But last year's finalist SC Potsdam is also one of the hunted," said Koslowski. The field behind it is then broad. "The women's Bundesliga is evolving. There are many exciting and attractive games against teams where not every result is always predictable," he emphasized.

Koslowski is very satisfied with the preparation of his team so far. "I'm positive. The players did a very good job." From the coming week onwards, the three internationals Pia Kästner, Lina Alsmeier and Anna Pogany should be back from the World Cup and join the team again. "We're looking forward to the squad being complete," said the coach.
