Schwerin (dpa / mv) - The controversial strong salary increase for the six district administrators in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania received the blessing of the state government on Tuesday. The cabinet agreed to the necessary change in the municipal salary ordinance, as Interior Minister Christian level (SPD) announced.
According to the information, the district administrators will be raised by one salary level, which amounts to a plus of around 500 euros per month. This places them on an equal footing with the heads of cities of similar size, such as Rostock and Schwerin. The payment of the deputies of the district administrators will also be adjusted, it said.
