Röbel (dpa/mv) - During an unsuccessful overtaking maneuver near Röbel (Mecklenburg Lake District), two cars collided head-on and three people were injured. As a police spokeswoman said on Thursday, a 29-year-old woman wanted to overtake a column on Landesstraße 24 in the morning. The woman's car collided with an oncoming car and at the same time sideways against a truck.
The 29-year-old and the 69-year-old driver of the oncoming car and their passenger were seriously injured. They came to hospitals. The road between Sietow and Röbel, which leads to Autobahn 19, was closed for around two hours to recover the injured and the destroyed vehicles.
