Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: Trial of triple murder in Rövershagen continues

Rostock (dpa/mv) - The Rostock district court wants to hear more witnesses on Monday (9.30 a.m.) in the trial of a 27-year-old accused of murdering his parents and sister. Among other things, details about the loan of a van and an excavator are to be clarified, with which the accused is said to have transported the bodies of the victims or buried them in a field. A former employer should also testify as a witness.

The 27-year-old had confessed to the crimes during police interrogations, but had his lawyer retract his statements at the start of the trial on November 15.

He is said to have brutally killed his father (52) and sister (25) and a few days later his mother (48) in Rövershagen near Rostock on February 7 of this year with a crossbow and a garden machete. If found guilty, he faces a life sentence.
