Hiddensee Island (dpa/mv) - The pilot of a rescue helicopter was blinded by strangers when landing in Vitte on Hiddensee Island. The 36-year-old was affected by an intense light in his vision, which also endangered the safety of the landing process, police said early Saturday. Rescue workers then helped with the landing so that the four people on board arrived safely on the ground. The police are investigating the incident from Saturday night on suspicion of dangerous intervention in air traffic and are looking for witnesses.
