Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: wavy lines on the highway: arrest on warrant

Pasewalk (dpa / mv) - A man wanted with an arrest warrant "lured" the police with a drunk driving - and was finally arrested. The 51-year-old drove in wavy lines and constantly at 90 kilometers per hour on the A20 on Friday evening, the police said. A patrol crew tried to stop him between the Pasewalk North and Pasewalk South junctions. Because the driver ignored the stop signals and continued towards Szczecin, more police officers were called. At the Schmölln junction of the A11, it was then possible to stop the vehicle and check the driver.

A voluntary breath alcohol test resulted in a value of 1.9 per mille, it said. It was also determined that the 51-year-old had an arrest warrant for an unpaid fine. He was arrested and taken to Pasewalk Police Headquarters. After his wife paid the fine, he was released, it said. His driver's license was confiscated. Reports were filed for drunk driving and resisting law enforcement officials.
