Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: Woman is trapped between cars and seriously injured

Ludwigslust (dpa / mv) - A woman was hit by a car in Malk Göhren (Ludwigslust-Parchim district) and seriously injured. As the police announced on Friday, she was hit by the car head-on at midday when she was standing in the trunk of her car on federal highway 191. She was pinned between the two cars. Rescue workers freed them and took the seriously injured to a hospital. The driver was not physically injured but was in shock. The road had to be temporarily closed for the accident investigation and clean-up work. The police is investigating the exact cause of accident.
