The Mercadona supermarket chain created 3,000 stable jobs (1,000 of them in Portugal) in 2022, closing the year with a workforce of 99,000 people. Juan Roig's company is an interesting employment destination for a wide variety of workers seeking stability and the possibility of improving their salary. Without going any further, in 2023 a salary increase has been carried out according to the CPI of 5.7%.

A quick search of Mercadona job offers is enough to get an idea of ​​the salaries. Based on qualified profiles, a doctor or an occupational risk prevention technician can apply for a position with a gross annual salary of 51,571 euros (with a salary progression of 78,288 euros), while a Business Intelligence IT technician or an IT Recruiter You can aspire to a salary of 25,784 euros (with a progression of 39,141 euros).

Regarding the supermarket staff (butcher, fishmonger, cashier, stocker, delivery man...) and in response to some current vacancies, Mercadona offers full-time jobs (indefinite contract of 40 hours per week, from Monday to Saturday) with a salary gross monthly salary of 1,507 euros with a salary progression of 2,039 euros. There are also part-time or weekend job openings.

The Valencian chain does not manage job applications that reach it through regular or email mail, social networks, telephone or the contact form on the website. The only way available to send the CV is through the Mercadona Employment Portal.

You do not need to be registered to consult job offers. From the Employment Portal, the interested party can see all the available vacancies, as well as specify searches according to location, type of contract, type of offer or full or part-time, among other filters.

Once the "Search" button is pressed, a list of results will appear with the available offers. To get all the details of a specific position (location, type of contract, gross salary, description and requirements) just click on the link of the offer.

If a vacancy matches what the person is looking for and the person is registered in the employment portal, all that remains is to click on the green "Sign up now" button, entering the e-mail and password, and start the session.

If you are not registered, you can leave your CV by entering "Create your profile now". You can fill out the profile either with your LinkedIn account or by registering as a new user, entering personal data and attaching your CV. Once the form is completed and the CV attached, the job application will already be registered.

Mercadona initiates a process of analysis of candidacies for each offer. If an applicant's profile meets the needs of one of the positions, the company contacts the candidate by phone in order to set a date for the interview.

Once the interview has been completed, the user can see their situation in the selection process through the Employment Portal, although they will be informed by phone or email of how the procedure is resolved.
