North Rhine-Westphalia: 90 firefighters extinguish fire in shed: woman injured

Menden (dpa/lnw) - 90 firefighters responded to a fire in a workshop shed in Menden in Sauerland. The shed was on Friday afternoon in the garden of a residential building in full fire with a lot of smoke, the Menden fire department said. Because neighboring houses and the dried-up vegetation in the settlement were endangered by the heat development, numerous extinguishing water channels were built. Numerous embers had formed in the roof of the shed, so the operation lasted until midnight. The resident of the home was reportedly taken to a hospital after inhaling smoke.
