Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - Due to the renewal of the road surface, Autobahn 3 will be closed for days between the Emmerich-Ost junction and the border with the Netherlands. The closure applies from next Wednesday (14.9./8 p.m.) to Monday (19.9./5.00 a.m.) initially in the direction of Oberhausen. As the motorway company further announced, the roadway in the same section in the direction of the Netherlands is a week later - from October 19th to 24th.
The asphalt surface had to be renewed in both directions of travel, it said. Detours via the municipal road network in Emmerich and the Netherlands are signposted. During these periods, it is advisable to drive around the construction site using the A57.
