North Rhine-Westphalia: Armed robbery in Cologne: special units storm the apartment

Cologne (dpa / lnw) - After a man was the victim of a robbery in an apartment building in Cologne, the police with special units violently stormed the alleged crime scene apartment. A woman and a man were arrested on Saturday, the public prosecutor and the police jointly announced. According to initial investigations, a 35-year-old met with a group of five in the apartment on Friday afternoon because of a purchase advertisement via the Internet platform. There he is said to have been tied up by several strangers and threatened with guns and knives. After the attackers took his cash from the man, they reportedly untied him and then left the house with the loot.

During the night, investigators located the crime scene apartment and searched it in the morning on the orders of the public prosecutor. According to the police, it is still being checked whether the two arrested persons belong to the suspected group. They were unharmed in the operation.
