Dortmund (dpa / lnw) - A 38-year-old man was hit by a car on the roadway after an accident on the A2 motorway and was seriously injured. The driver of the silver car fled, the police said on Sunday. Witnesses are now being sought who observed the accident on the A2 in the direction of Oberhausen near Beckum on Friday evening around 10:40 p.m.
According to initial findings by the police, the 38-year-old had lost control of his vehicle. He collided with a guard rail and came to a stop in the left lane. After getting out of the car, he was hit by the silver car in the center lane. A witness pulled the seriously injured man from the road onto the hard shoulder.
