Essen (dpa / lnw) - In North Rhine-Westphalia, mild and mostly clear autumn weather is expected to continue in the coming days. Thursday starts cloudy in the south-east, but is clear in the rest of the country, as the German Weather Service (DWD) announced in Essen in the morning. In the Hochsauerland, strong gusts are possible until the morning, which should decrease later. In the afternoon, according to the DWD forecast, it is usually only slightly cloudy with maximum values between 16 and 19 degrees.
In the night of Friday, fog is gathering - sometimes with visibility below 150 meters. The temperatures drop to 7 to 3 degrees, in the Eifel values around 0 degrees and light ground frost are possible.
After the fog cleared on Friday morning, the DWD meteorologists expect clear and dry weather. The temperatures reach up to 19 degrees.
Saturday begins with some rain, which is expected to move southeast by midday. Then the sky loosens up and it stays dry with highs between 14 and 17 degrees. In the north and in the mountains there can be strong gusts.
