North Rhine-Westphalia: Collision: 20-year-old dead, 46-year-old in mortal danger

Ennigerloh (dpa / lnw) - A 20-year-old woman died in an accident in the Warendorf district. A 46-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries in the accident on Monday, police said early Tuesday morning. The man overtook several vehicles on the way to Ennigerloh. Shortly before entering the town, he wanted to overtake another car, but failed to see the oncoming young woman with her car. There was a collision. The 20-year-old's car threw it onto a meadow on the side of the road, the 46-year-old's car against a tree. The woman died on the spot. Paramedics took the man to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. According to the police, the 46-year-old was drunk.
