Dinslaken (dpa / lnw) - A 63-year-old was found dead in a pit in Dinslaken (Wesel district). Witnesses reported a lifeless person in the pit on Schloßstrasse on Sunday morning, the police said. The man was lying at a depth of about five meters.
The pit is used for work on the district heating lines, it was said - it was secured with barriers. The man lived near the construction site. The police believe it was an accident and the investigation is ongoing. Witnesses are asked to contact the police.
